1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?

Classic casual style, I prefer neutral tones with pops of color. Graceful and enduring. I want my space to look collected, whether it is or not.

2) When starting a new design project, what is your creative process?

My design begins with an object of inspiration. It could be a pillow or a color or something from nature.

3) Out of all the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?

I have to give all my respect and admiration to my mother. Though not directly involved in design, she often experimented with art and quilting. The best advice she gave us, was to never be afraid of trying new things and believe in yourself.

4) Is there a building that you find yourself revisiting repeatedly, because of it’s beautiful and inspiring interiors?

I’m inspired by the homes and buildings in Savannah, Ga. The old cobblestone drives, the gardens and fountains, the worn stone and brick of the homes.

5) How did you get into interior design? And what is your advice for design students looking to follow in your footsteps?

My designs for refinishing started with my own furniture, the desire to use what I already had. The best advice I can offer, is to listen carefully to what your clients are requesting. Interpretation is the key to having a happy relationship with your client.
