What Are the Best Blinds for Childrens Rooms?

You will need to bear in mind factors like light control, ease of use and - of course - design, to choose the best blind for a childs bedroom. We would recommend steering clear of pale fabrics like white or pastels, as they tend to be particularly unforgiving of dirt or any other stains, which are to be expected from young children! A blackout roller blind will enable you to control the amount of light coming into the bedroom - which means you can decide bedtime, irrespective of the time of day.

Roller blinds are particularly easy to use, with a simple pulley mechanism to open and close the blind that young children will not struggle to operate. This is compared to Roman blinds, which involve a more complex folding system, making them less ideal for these spaces.

Make sure to choose something in a fun pattern - kids will much prefer something cheerful and colourful over anything understated or too grown up. We love Sophie Allports whimsical animal designs, bright Cath Kidston prints, and bold Skinnydip patterns, with all blinds a gorgeous addition to any childs bedroom.
