Rachel Rosenthal is the founder of Organized In A Box, a professional organizing firm, based in the Washington DC area. Rachel is passionate about organising, so uses that passion to help people in their everyday lives. She appreciates that life can be crazy, a constant juggle to stay on top of things - hence she offers understanding and compassion to her clients. Organized in a Box was established in 2013, however Rachel previously had her own firm Rachel and Company as early as 2007. So we are proud to bring you the Designer Insights of Rachel Rosenthal.

1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?
My style is clean, smart, and simple with a twist. I like combining basic organizing techniques with stylish colors and interesting shapes. I love clean lines and inviting spaces.
2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?
When I begin a new project, I asses the area(s) that I am organizing. I communicate ideas and get to know my clients needs and taste, then the creative organizing begins!
3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?
I respect and admire all of my fellow organizers and other creative that I have worked with like interior designers. I know that sounds ridiculous but I really can’t just pick one. What makes all those that I work with stand out is creativity and passion for their work. This creativity and passion is what helps me work well with them and share similar visions on reinventing spaces and lives.
4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?
I look to family and the arts. I spend quality time with my girls, and research work of interesting organizers. I also look to companies with organizing and design products.
5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
Commitment, hard work, and a true passion for my work. I have great support system in my family and friends, and I am constantly looking for ideas and inspiration. My advice is to stay positive and really make sure you like what you are doing.
