1) In your own words describe your unique style and creative aesthetic?
My personal style is Modern Vintage with a Traditional twist. Brass accents, pops of color and touches of black. For me it’s all in the details.
2) When starting a new project, what is your creative process?
Every project begins with determining feeling we want to create in a room. Once I have that vision the colors, furniture and accessories fall into place.
3) Out of the creative people you have worked with, who is it that you respect and admire the most?
The person that I admire and respect the most is someone that has been in my life since day one—my mom! While her creative talents are not design related, she is extremely creative with the written word. Her words of encouragement and support have been the mainstays in my life and have given me the power to believe that everything I want is possible. Without her I would not have made my mark on the world.
4) When looking for inspiration is there a particular thing you do to get inspired?
I shop and I read. I love going to stores and checking out what’s on the shelves and what people are buying. I also love looking through home décor magazines and being inspired by the room images and lifestyle stories.
5) What has brought you to this point in your career? And what is your advice for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
Believing in myself and living by the mantra of ‘no regrets’. I’ve always had an entrepreneur spirit and knew what I wanted to do in life from an early age. Once I set my eyes on my goal I worked hard, surrounded myself with people I could learn from and never stopped trusting my talent. My advice to anyone searching for their path is to find what you love and build your life and your business around that.
