The government has recently implemented new safety guidelines to ensure that window blinds now meet certain safety criteria. This comes after a number of babies and toddlers have had their life cut short, after becoming tangled in blind cord [see figures below]. However new safety guidelines are not retroactive, therefore any blinds that are already in your home may still be hazardous to infants.
